Seen Through Our Eyes
Seen Through Our Eyes showcases art created by young people who participated in the Mississippi Young Person’s Cultural Exchange Program. It contains 134 images and a brief text, which describes the project.
“Once again, these unique community leaders from Mississippi have shown that art can change lives. The visionaries behind this partnership and this project are to be commended for recognizing the ability of young people to do what their elders often cannot: to see through our exteriors into our neighbors’ souls. The results are stunning: artwork produced during this project demonstrates the power of art to develop sensitivities, and the abilities of young people to depict their realities with piercing perception and their visions with imaginative glory.”
