The celebration will culminate with a Roast & Toast, a ticketed gala event (7 p.m. - 10 p.m.) honoring the successes of the organization and highlighted by a roast of executive director Patty Crosby, who will retire June 30th. Tickets are $30 for one or $50 for two. For more information, please email MCC at mcc@msculturalcrossroads.org.

Take Part DVD CoverFilm Showcases MCC's Work in "Take Part" Initiative

The Mississippi Arts Commission produced a film titled Take Part! to document the work of four organizations that participated in a statewide initiative to diversify their audiences. This film by Jackson-based filmmaker Kathryn Rodenmeyer follows the work of three of the organizations (MCC, the Mississippi Museum of Art, and the Mississippi Opera) during 2004 and 2005. Take Part! showcases the successes that each organization experienced through their projects, but it also captures the difficulties they encountered along the way. Please contact MCC at mcc@msculturalcrossroads.org if you would like a free DVD copy of the film. The cost of shipping is $3 per DVD.
